The RCNPP has an environmental policy and code of conduct in place that guarantees a high level of protection of the environment in the interest of sustainable development.  The Club’s commitment is as follows: The RCNPP’s environmental code of conduct. Our main goal is to guarantee a high level of protection for the environment and to continuously improve the environmental performance of our activity and therefore, you must: 

  • Use water sparingly, it is a limited resource. 
  • It is vital that waste is separated correctly, therefore, we must all work together on sorting waste. 
  • Reduce the consumption of electricity as far as possible, and you will be helping to preserve the planet’s natural resources.  
  • Reduce the consumption of diesel and petrol.

When your boat is inside the port, remember:

  • Avoid using the WC and showers on boats while you are moored in the port. These services are available at the Club. 
  • Domestic waste generated on the boat must be deposited in the port’s containers before departure.
  • Have waste-water tanks on boats and use the boat waste-water collection service. 
  • When it comes to cleaning your boat, please use biodegradable soaps and detergents. 
  • Regularly service engines and the boat. Avoid spilling fuel, check tanks and hoses to prevent leaks. 
  • If repairs and maintenance are carried out on the boat when moored, care should be taken to prevent toxic products from being spilled into the sea.

  • Respect marine flora and fauna, both on the surface and seabed. Take care in protected areas. 
  • Abide by regulations regarding sailing, signals, prohibitions and fishing. 
  • Respect the environment by not emitting sound signals and avoid running engines or generators at night that may produce noise emissions that disturb nearby boats. It should not be forgotten that the Mediterranean sea is not a dumping ground, it is one of the seas with the greatest biological diversity on the planet.
